LagoonFlight is no longer operating. Helicopter alternatives to see the underwater waterfall

LagoonFlight has not been operating since August 2026. Its website still advertises flights, but that information is out of date. If you have an existing reservation, contact the business that issued it.

Keep any cancellation or payment correspondence. Booking a helicopter through Andeor is a new booking; it does not automatically transfer a LagoonFlight reservation, credit or refund. Clarify the original arrangements before paying for a replacement.

For a southern departure, compare the approximately 15-minute shared circuit from Bel Ombre. The published route follows the south-west coast past Baie du Cap, La Prairie and Îlot Fourneau towards the underwater waterfall illusion off Le Morne.

You book a seat in a helicopter that can carry up to six passengers under the offer’s conditions. The route passes La Prairie, but the departure is Bel Ombre. Give your driver the meeting point on your confirmation rather than going to a former seaplane meeting point.

The private Bel Ombre option is also an approximately 15-minute waterfall circuit, priced per group for up to six passengers under the listing’s operating limits. It is worth comparing when your party wants the aircraft exclusively.

Compare the full group total against the cost of the required shared seats. Private use does not promise a particular seat, a better view or last-minute availability. Passenger details and the flight conditions still apply.

The approximately 35-minute shared sightseeing flight starts and ends at SSR International Airport. Its published highlights include Grand Bassin, Black River Gorges, the underwater waterfall, Chamarel and the south coast.

Consider the journey from your accommodation as well as the aerial route. This circuit is not a hotel transfer or an extension of an international airline ticket. Follow the separate reporting instructions and leave room for changes to the flight day.

A helicopter uses a heliport or airport departure. A seaplane itinerary includes a water departure and its own aircraft arrangements. Choose according to the route, party size and overall journey rather than treating the names as interchangeable.
